I'm worried about my cat, Daniel. He's diabetic (it's pretty much under control with insulin shots) and rumored to have kidney and liver problems (that never really surfaced, despite being "diagnosed" three years ago) and lately he's not been eating or using his litterbox or drinking much water. Normally, eating is his greatest pleasure. He's getting thinner and his spine is really noticable when I pick him up or pet him. It's enough of the worry that when I watched Shrek 2 with my family tonight for my mom's birthday, the Puss-in-Boots character actually made me wish I could hold Daniel right then. I mean, it was a funny movie and the character was hilarious, but when Puss-in-Boots makes the little "sad kitty cat" face that's supposed to be really amusing, it actually made me sad. We've started giving him special wet food (we've always given he and Lily dry food except for holidays) and he'll eat a little, then give up. He comes to his bowl as if he's expecting to eat something, then can't seem to bring himself to actually dig in.

He's the best cat ever. I've loved him since I was seven years old.
